Transaction Guidelines for Vehicle Registrations & Dog Licensing
Vehicle registration renewals can be processed on-line through the Sandown.us webpage or through the postal service. Mail in your renewal form which does show your fees due.
Dog License Renewals:
Dog license renewals can also be completed by going to the Sandown.us webpage. We must have an updated rabies certificates on file. These can also be completed through the mail. If you have a current rabies certificate, please provide us a copy either by mail, email or fax. Our fax #, email and telephone are all on the website. Please call with any questions. We will update our system when we receive it.
If you are renewing a boat previously registered in NH, please sign the paperwork you received from the state back in December and mail it to us @ PO Box 583. You must mail a check for the amount on that state renewal plus $5.00 for local agent fees. It can all be in one check.
Birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce certificates, death certificates can also be obtained via the Sandown.us webpage. Please email a copy of your NH drivers license in order for us to complete those. Marriage Licenses are unable to be processed at this time.
The NH Department of Motor Vehicles has extended all new vehicle registrations that were purchased 02-26-2020 or after through a NH Dealer and were given a 20 day plate until May 31, 2020.
Drop Box Registrations:
If you would like to complete NEW registrations via our locked drop box, it is located on the outside of the building on the right side of our entry door. Please call 887-0213 and we will give you instructions pertaining to your needs. Please be patient as we are working with limited staff & hours but we will get back to you.

Concord NH - Due to concern for the health and safety of its customers and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, the New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles has transitioned to phone and online services.
Walk-in operations at all locations have paused. Online, phone, and mail services will not be interrupted.
Starting Monday, March 23, limited walk-in services will be available by appointment only and consolidated to five locations:
Starting Friday, customers can call (603) 227-4000 to schedule an appointment. Customers should take advantage of the DMV’s online services, including online driver license renewal, ID renewals, and online ticket pay at www.nh.gov/dmv.
All driver license road exams are canceled until Friday, April 3, 2020.
NH DMV 20-day plates as well as NH authorized dealer 20-day plates, issued on or after February 26, 2020 have been given an automatic extension through May 31, 2020. These extensions do not apply to vehicle registration renewals. Please visit your town website for vehicle registration renewal options.
NH DMV non-commercial driver licenses and non-driver identification cards that are expired or set to expire between March 1, 2020 and April 30, 2020 are eligible for a 6-month extension. Customers should take advantage of this option by calling (603) 227-4020. An applicable renewal fee will be due at the time of the call. The Reg Bureau will be attempting to assist customers who need temporary plates due to town closures without coming into the DMV for new private sale or out of state dealer sales only.

4.Do you have the ability to pay with a credit card when we call you back?

If the answer to any of these is no, you will need to schedule an appointment to come in. (603) 227-4000
Otherwise, we will need a copy of a person’s license, address if different than what is on the license and phone number to call them back.
Please email that information to [email protected], with a subject line of 20 day plate….DMV staff will then forward it along to the MA Helpdesk.
Our staff will contact them by phone, take the credit card info over the phone, and process the 20 day plate and mail it out.

Please send in a self addressed stamped envelope for all transactions done by mail.
