Notary Public Services

Notary publics serve as witnesses to signed documents and verify or certify official documents or copies of official documents. During regular business hours there are usually at least 2 notary publics on site at the Town Hall. There is no charge to have a document notarized.

Guidelines

  • Please bring the document(s) to be notarized and please do not sign anything before you come.
  • You must provide proof of identity, so please bring proper identification with you. A driver’s license or passport is acceptable.
  • If you are asking for an attested copy of a document, please bring the original document with you. A copy will be made here and notarized.
  • You cannot have someone else’s signature notarized – the signer must be present and sign the documents in front of the notary.
