The 2006 tax rate has officially been set at $24.58 and was announced at the Board of Selectmen meeting on Monday, November 20, 2006. The breakdown of the rate is as follows:

                        Town Rate                              $  4.29
                        Local School Rate                  $ 16.26
                        State School Rate                  $  2.92
                        County Rate                           $  1.11

                        2006 Tax Rate Total              $24.58

Tax bills were mailed on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 and will be due by no later than Friday, December 29, 2006. Payments can be made directly to the Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s Office during regular business hours. The Tax Collector’s office will be open on December 29, 2006 until 12:00 noon to receive and process your tax payments. Any payments received after December 29th will be subject to 12% interest.
