DINKY MURPHY’S WILD & CRAZY IRISH WAKE

When was the last time you treated yourself to this much fun?  Don’t miss out as Sandown Recreation offers this special St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at the Amesbury Playhouse on Sunday, March 16th for the 1 PM performance of “Dinky Murphy’s Wild & Crazy Irish Wake”.

“Take part in the celebration of dear ole Dinky’s life….and death.  We’ll be mourning him just as he would have wanted: corned beef and cabbage and live Irish music by his favorite band, The Blarney Stone Balladeers“  –The Amesbury Playhouse

From the time you arrive and are seated by Dinky’s pallbearers, during your traditional Corned Beef Dinner and all the wacky remembrances of Dinky by his “family and friends and sometimes enemies”, and on through the live Irish music, you couldn’t find a better way to celebrate the day when everyone is just a wee bit Irish.  You’ll laugh ‘til you cry.

Make sure to call your friends so they can come along for this fun and interactive event.  Tickets are $34 per person and include transportation from Town Hall, show, dinner, tax and gratuity.  Reservations must be made by no later than March 3rd.  Seats are limited so the earlier you register the less likely you are to be disappointed!   Non-residents may register for $38 per person after Feb. 7th.  Bus will depart Town Hall at 11:45 AM and return by 4:30 PM.

Please note that due to the close proximity of the theater and attempts to keep the price as low as possible, a school bus has been hired for transport.  You are welcome to commute in your own vehicle but the same $34 price will still apply.  Payment is by check only (no cash) and made payable to:  Sandown Recreation.  Payment may be dropped off at Town Hall or mailed to: Sandown Recreation/PO Box 644/Sandown, NH 03873.  No reservation is complete until confirmed by the recreation director and payment received.  Payment must be received within 72 hours of seat reservation or reservation is automatically released for sale.  Please note there are no refunds for this trip unless cancelled by the Recreation Commission. The show will go on, even during inclement weather, unless cancelled by the theater.  Please make your decision to attend accordingly.  This is an over 21 trip only and a cash bar will be available.  Please contact Recreation Director Deb Brown at 887-1872 to register or if you need any additional information.
