An equine 4-H club for youth ages 5 to 18 interested in learning more about horses.   You do not need to own or even ride a horse to join, just have a passion for horses. We learn about horse care, handling, confirmation, judging, and riding techniques. Besides using the 4H horse manual we go on field trips, have guest speakers, interact between clubs, and do hands on projects.  We have participated in local, county and state horse shows, Old Home Day, Deerfield Fair, and community service projects
Though our focus is on horses, we promote all areas of 4-H and encourage members, and adults too, to try other 4-H activities to develop a well rounded motivated individual for our community.

4-H is the youth educational program of UNH Cooperative Extension.   The 4-H emblem is a four-leaf clover with an "H" in every leaf. The letters stand for HEAD, HEART, HANDS, and HEALTH; the foundation of all 4-H programs.
