The 4-H Dog project is for those who want to learn how to feed and care for their dog companion, keep their dog(s) healthy and content, train their dog(s) to be a good neighbor, and promote responsible pet ownership in addition to practicing such important life skills as decision making, communicating with others, leading self and others, planning and organizing, and accepting responsibility.

4-H is the youth educational program of UNH Cooperative Extension. The mission of 4-H is to help youth acquire knowledge, develop life skills and form attitudes to enable them to become self directing, productive and contributing members of society. 4-H emphasizes the importance of involving youth in the learning process.
